Arc-eye hawkfish (Eng) – Paracirrhites arcatus (Lat) (family Cirrhitidae) – grows up to 13 cm. It feeds on small fishes. Easy to identify due to red-bordered arches around the eyes

Indo-Pacific - Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, warm waters around coral reefs
