Hoof scutus (Eng) – Scutus unguis (Lat) (family Fissurellidae) – grows up to 4 cm. Black or brown color, translucent mantle covers shell. Shell can be visible through the open split on the mantle. Active at night, hiding during the day under the coral rubble
