Protandrichesky hermaphrodite - males grow up to become females and change color. Juveniles - black, yellow dorsal fin. Yellow mouth and a blue body - in larger fish, length 60 cm and above. With increasing length the moray eel becomes a yellow female (over 85 cm)
Actively sold in the aquarium trade. At the same time in captivity do not live more than a month or two. The few exceptions - in a huge aquariums and under professional care
Habitat:
Indo-Pacific - Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, South Japan, GBR, Papua - tropical and subtropical seas
