Description:

Black-and-gold chromis (Eng) – Neoglyphidodon nigroris (Lat) (family Pomacentridae) – grows up to 13 cm. It feeds on plankton and algae. Depth 3-25 m. Recognizable by bright-yellow rear body, yellow spot on pectoral fin base with dark center. Juvenals with black and yellow horizontal stripes.

Habitat:

Indo-Pacific - Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, GBR, Papua - tropical and subtropical seas
