Description:

Blue-barred parrotfish (Eng) – Scarus ghobban (Lat) (family Scaridae) – grows up to 60 cm. It feeds on coral polips and seaweeds. Solitary, never lets divers close, shallow parts of coral reefs

Habitat:

Red Sea, Indo-Pacific - Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, GBR, Papua - tropical and subtropical seas
