Ringed pipefish (Eng) – Doryrhamphus dactyliophorus (Lat) (family Syngnathidae) – grows up to 18 cm. It feeds on zooplancton and small invertebrates. Identified by dark-red stripes, red snout end, red tail end with white spot in the middle

Indo-Pacific from East Africa coast to Philippines, Indonesia and South Japan
